The South London & Kent Pool Alliance (or SLKPA) is an English 8 ball pool league for teams in the SE London and NW Kent area of 5 or more members. The league was formed in 2005 and is contested on Thursday evenings and matches consist of 15 frames of "World Rules" pool, commencing at 8pm. Our league caters for pool players of all standards/creeds/ages/sexes and has multi divisions. In addition to the main league the SLKPA also operate a reserve/experimental league for teams of 3 or more players who are new to "World Rules" or just wish to sample the SLKPA without committing to a whole season. The SLKPA is affiliated to Greater London County Pool Association, which is under the umbrella of the English Pool Association. We have singles and pairs competitions regularly, Interleague teams, as well as a host of other facilities to help you enjoy your pool, and all these are available to our registered players. The process of managing a team in the SLKPA is simplified, where all administration can be attended to remotely, negating the need to attend endless league meetings. Should you wish to meet us, the League Committee convene usually on the first Sunday of each month 7pm at Bellegrove Social Club, Welling, Kent. DA16 3QD. Our aim is to remain as the number one pool league in this area, and our motto is "a pool league for pool players first and foremost."

The SLKPA is still experiencing a temporarily close down due to the coronavirus. All current competitions are suspended but the League intend to play these out to a conclusion at the earliest possible date.
After the announcement of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown, it appears that the earliest any team pool can resume is from the 17th May assuming that venues also have their pool tables in operation. It is the League’s intention to commence the Triple 3 Series as soon as the rule of 6 can legally meet indoors and to resume full league functionality once all restrictions are removed. The League will announce detailed plans once more is known and dates are confirmed by the Government.
All other previous League statements remain valid and further announcements on these topics will be made at the appropriate times.
The Triple 3 Series
It looks likely that the easing of restrictions will permit the rule of 6 allowed people to meet indoors from 17th May. The League are now finalising plans to start the Triple 3 Series as early as possible. The Triple 3 Series is designed to allow the return of small sided team pool in a competitive environment under the SLKPA umbrella, whilst some Covid-19 restrictions remain in place. First and foremost there are very few restrictions with the intention that teams/players just enjoy playing pool in a sporting environment whereby the result is secondary to the participation which is everything. Team squads can involve as many players as applicable, but only 3 players should attend any one match, adhering to the current safety guidelines. Existing SLKPA teams that have large squads are free to separate into two or more teams if desired. Players and teams from other leagues etc are encouraged to participate to sample SLKPA pool. The only remit is the venue needs to be in the current SLKPA catchment area. Click on this link for full details and how to pay. Team entry payments (£10) are being taken now. This is the last call fo any additional teams to enter.
